The Theological Engineer

by Jeff Laird

What good is truth if you can't apply it? The Christian life is meant to be lived, in the real world, by real people. Engineering is exactly that: turning theory into application, creating something anyone can benefit from. Or, in diagnosing a problem to find the root cause (which is usually how the system was misused, not the theory behind it). The Theological Engineer focuses on connecting spiritual truths to everyday experiences. There's much more to being a follower of Jesus Christ than just what you know. Like an engineer, it's important to turn those concepts into something that actually moves, in your life, and the life of others.

The Theological Engineer is written by Jeff Laird, whose wide range of experiences — including mechanical engineering, statistics, music, martial arts, performing arts and theology — have uniquely qualified him to understand the need to connect principles with practices. He first started with Got Questions Ministries as a volunteer in 2004, and is currently an Associate Editor, working primarily on BibleRef.com.
